all of sudden i am unable to adjust the size of layouts and unable to do anything. i purchased photobook option from groupen which was mentioned as promotional value should used and ordered on same day wanted to know whether i still have the promotion value for photo book and need help in fixing issue i have in photo book.my account login I having trouble in using layouts in album. now my album is screwed up and i have wasted almost 4 hours to complete these pages so far. Question: I having trouble in using layouts in album. After this experience, I doubt I will ever use PhotobookAmerica again and I certainly would not recommend them to any one else. I'll be stuck on hold for who knows how long and forced to listen to annoying music the entire time. So now, it looks like I will have to wait until business hours to call their customer service. But I didn't want to take a chance hitting the "Reorder" button because there was absolutely no indication if I would be able to change the shipping address or enter the number for a 2nd voucher. I read some of FAQs which seemed to indicate I needed to go to "My Orders" instead of "My Projects." I went there. It was a computer with preprogrammed choices for me to choose to explain my problem. They offered a "chat." However, their chat wasn't with a real person. However, no matter how I held my cursor over the word "duplicate" nothing happened. Under the name of the book were three links - "Rename, Duplicate, Delete." I hovered over those options and my cursor changed as would be expected for a link. I went to my projects where the book I had just created was listed. Once this transaction was completed, I tried to order the second copy. Finally, I just pressed the purchase now button and was forced to make the payment through paypal. I tried several of the usual tricks like refreshing the page etc. I mean, I clicked on the link but nothing happened. I made the first purchase but when I tried to choose my payment method, the site was unresponsive. It appeared that the only way to do this was to make three purchases. I wanted to make 3 copies of one book with each of them shipped to a different address. However, when it came time to order, I discovered how subpar their website truly is. The design process was not easy, though it was manageable. I purchased 3 PhotobookAmerica vouchers on Groupon. Maybe, if anything that bothered me last time has changed, they will state it in their ads. It has been a while since my last project & I receive at least one email per week from these folks. The finished products are much nicer than old photo books with pictures and pages falling out but I went online today searching for another Photobook company that is more consistent, affordable, and customer friendly. I would like it if they just quoted a reasonable price in the first place on their website and skipped the coupon stuff. Once I get into a project like making a book, I hate the pressure of having a deadline. Although the amount paid to Groupon is applied to the post deadline price, the cost difference can be vast. Pricing is all over the place, and Groupon deadline time extensions are granted for only a few days. Uploading is difficult, and when I think I've accomplished it, I haven't. Once I ordered 3 copies, and I could plainly see a significant difference in the 3 covers and interior colors. The product is manufactured in Asia, a long distance away, and even when I paid extra for expedited service, delivery was slow. Since the product only exists online, I can't save it. If someone else wants a copy, from what I can tell, my project has disappeared and I need to start from scratch. My reservations about this company fall into the categories of customer service, price, uploading, production inconsistencies, and the fact that my finished book cannot be reordered after a few weeks. Backgrounds, decorations, page order, extra pages and photo frames are easy to apply and change, as are text boxes. If stretching your photo makes your resolution too low, this program gives you a red flag.

If you option shift and drag the corner of your photo, it will increase proportionately, just like InDesign. I have done 3 books with no template, just using blank pages & my layout sense. I use a Mac, and have found the layout tools to be pretty similar to others I've used.

I disagree with those who claim this program is slow or difficult to use or that pics are difficult to resize.
